Level 1: We kick things off with the basics, providing you with an understanding of the essential foundations of barbering. You will develop key skills such as: Shampooing and Conditioning, Blow Drying Techniques, Assisting with Shaving Services and Customer Service Skills. This level is all about setting the groundwork for your barbering journey, giving you the fundamental skills needed to progress to more advanced techniques in Level 2.
Level 2: Once you have mastered the basics, we progress to fundamentals of cutting while also introducing essential barbering techniques, including Basic Cutting Techniques, Shaving & Beard Work, Hair Design & Styling and Customer Service & Consultation These skills will allow you to offer a wider range of services to your clients. This level is all about perfecting your technique and developing a strong foundation in barbering, setting you up for more advanced skills and career opportunities in the industry.
Level 3: Delves into the intricacies of styling techniques, providing you with the skills to conduct full-colour and chemical services. We also teach you management skills and provide insights into the business side of barbering, preparing you to run your own barbershop or be a key player in an established salon.
Coupled with the training in scalp and hair health, facial hair grooming, and opportunities to apply these skills in real-world settings, our comprehensive barbering programme is designed with your success in mind. By the end of this programme, you will be ready to embark on a rewarding career in the dynamic world of barbering.
Completing a qualification in Barbering at Level 1, 2, and 3 can open the doors to a wide range of exciting and rewarding careers. With a Level 1 qualification, you could start as a junior barber, supporting senior staff and assisting with basic barbering services. Level 2 qualification could lead you to become a fully qualified barber, capable of performing a variety of cutting and styling techniques, shaving, and creating facial hair shapes. As you progress to a Level 3 qualification, you can become a senior barber or barber shop manager with the responsibility for running a business, training staff, and offering advanced barbering services. Not only that, but with these qualifications, you could also pursue a career as a men's hair stylist for film, TV, or stage, a product demonstrator, or even a barbering teacher/trainer.
